For the First Time Ukrainian Students Partici-pated in Erste Bank Danube Summer University.
During the summer of 2008 year 7 Ukrainian students together with participants from Austria, Croatia, Czech, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia attended lections at the leading universities of Central and Eastern Europe and learned the art of banking and HR management on practical workshops with Erste Bank representatives.
This year Ukraine for the first time joined Danube Summer University which has been taken place every year since 2001 as a joined project of Erste Bank Group and the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna. Program focused on Financial Services and Human Resource Management this year started in Kyiv.
The programme was launched at Vadym Hetman Kiev National Economic University that had joint part-ner-universities in 2008. In Ukraine students attended lections of Rupert Dollinger, HR Director Ertse Group, Îlena Belkina, Head of Staff Education Department, Erste Bank Ukraine and Roman Bondar Head of Treasury, Erste Bank Ukraine. During the next 4 weeks participants of the Danube Summer University 2008 visited economic schools of Bucharest, Bratislava, Prague and Vienna. In each city they have attended lections on the course they have chosen and learned about the culture and traditions of these countries. “Students themselves acted as tour guides and prepared stories about the sights of their countries’ capitals” – says Natalya Bakayeva, student of Vadym Hetman Kiev National Economic University, program participant.
